Hypnosis, also referred to as hypnotherapy or hypnotic suggestion, is a natural state of mind not very different from meditation or prayer. It is a relaxed-like state in which you have heightened focus and concentration. Hypnosis is done safely and privately using verbal repetition, mental images and casual conversation. When you're in a relaxed state of hypnosis, you usually feel calm and peaceful, and in turn are more open to positive suggestions and change. Hypnosis can be used to help you gain control over undesired behaviors or to help you cope better with your emotions and feelings that limit your ability to move forward in any areas of your life. It's important to know that although you're more open to suggestion during hypnosis, you don't lose control over your behavior. Clinical hypnotherapy teaches clients how to use a deep relaxation state to address emotions around limiting beliefs, grief, self esteem, time managment, finances, relationships, childhood wounds, study habits and test taking, smoking cessation, weight management, gaming and internet addictions and many more areas of life that you may feel stuck or frustrated. Sessions required depend on the clients interest, commitment & true desire to change. This ranges from 3-8 sessions on any 1 issue needing to transform. Some clients with trauma from childhood wounds and conditions like PTSD and anxiety resulting from that would require more in-depth sessions. The amount of time needed to complete the hypnotherapy process includes 1 session weekly ranging from 60 mins-2 hours depending on the clients needs.
